Steve Jobs

Known For : Steve Jobs is best known for being Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO of Apple Inc. Apple started in 1976 with the Apple I personal computer kit. Over the next few years the company grew and evolved and in 1984, Apple launched the Macintosh. Following a power struggle inside the company in 1985 Jobs resigned from Apple and founded NeXT Inc. The following year he bought The Graphics Group (later renamed Pixar) from Lucasfilm's computer graphics division and changed the company from a producer of the Pixar Image Computer into a producer of computer-animated feature films, the first of which was Toy Story. The rest as they say is history and in 2006 Disney purchased Pixar making Steve Jobs Walt Disney Company's largest single shareholder. In 1996 Apple purchased Next and Steve Jobs once again headed the company. Apple had been failing prior to the return of Steve Jobs who turned the company around and has provided the inspiration for Apple to be one of the most admired companies in the world. He has been suffering from illness since 2004 including a cancerous tumor in his pancreas and because is so aligned with Apple's success, each time rumors surface about his health Apple shares are adversely affected. His movies have developed a cult following because they are considered very different to other movies due to his different style of film which relies on an unusaul combination of violence and humour . Some of his best known and successfull movies include Reservoir Dogs (1992), Pulp Fiction (1994), Four Rooms ( 1995 ), Kill Bill (2003–2004), and Inglourious Basterds ( 2009 )

Born: Diane Ernestine Earle Ross, March 26th 1944, Detroit, Michigan, U.S.


Known For : Female American R&B, soul, disco and jazz singer who during the mid 1970s through to the mid-1980s helped shape the Motown sound as lead singer of The Supremes who has sold more than 100 million records worldwide. During her career she has had eighteen American number-one singles including "Ain't No Mountain High Enough", "Touch Me in the Morning", " Do You Know Where You're Going To ", "Upside Down", "Love Hangover" and "Endless Love" (with Lionel Richie). Twelve were as lead singer of The Supremes and six as a soloist. In addition to singing career she has won critical and popular acclaim as an actress and was nominated for an Oscar for her role as Billie Holiday in Lady Sings the Blues.

Leonard Nimoy

Known For : Leonard Nimoy is an American Actor and Director best known for his role of Spock in the original Star Trek series and in six Star Trek movies featuring the original cast. Other TV Series include the TV spy series Mission: Impossible. Other movies include Catlow (1971). His talents stretch well beyond his role as Spock in Star Trek with success as a Movie Director and Stage Actor. In 2003 he announced his retirement from acting to follow his passion for photography.

Possibly his best known top ten singles over the 40 year period include "Rocket Man", "Crocodile Rock", "Daniel", "Candle in the Wind", "Bennie and the Jets", "Pinball Wizard", "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" (with Kiki Dee), "I'm Still Standing" and "Can You Feel the Love Tonight". It does not matter which generation you are from you have more than likely grown up listening to his music . Billboard magazine ranked him as the most successful male solo artist on "The Billboard Hot 100 Top All-Time Artists" (Third overall, behind only The Beatles and Madonna).
The awards he has gained during these years is also a testiment to his music and include Academy Award, Golden Globe, Tony Award and mulyiple Grammys. From humble beginnings as a Pub Pianist to one of the music superstars of the modern era shows not only his talent but his commitment to his art.
